Love Wine Bottles with a Twist

Thanks to this snowy day, I got off work early and can treat all of you to an extra post this week! Everybody has seen these renowned love wine bottles, so of course I had to make a set for my wedding. However, when I was prepping for this project I decided to set a goal for myself. Instead of purchasing supplies for this project, I wanted to use items that I found around the house. Thus, I spent $0 on these beautiful decorative bottles.

I was fortunate enough that my future mother-in-law had four wine bottles and twine to spare. You can also ask local restaurants for empty bottles otherwise they just throw them away. Then, I found various objects around the house to use such as bottle caps, a flower, buttons, and string from the handle of a gift bag. I painted the bottle caps white with some paint I had to match the other items.

First, I soaked the bottles in hot water all day while I was at work. When I got home I peeled off the labels. Then, I used craft glue and wrapped twine around the bottles. Lastly, I hot glued all of my household treasures onto the bottles. After the wedding I plan on using these beauties has decorations in my house!

Make the same goal as me and try to use household items for your next craft!
