Last weekend my mom and I went to a wedding garage sale at the Golden Leaf Center. I had never been to a similar event before, so I wasn't really expecting much when we got there. However, to our surprise the parking lot was almost completely full when we got there. When we got inside, there were numerous tables set up with every wedding decoration imaginable. Of course by the time we got there, all of the tables with the rustic decorations were cleared out. Not to mention we got to the event only about ten minutes after it had started. We shopped around for a while and ended up purchasing some doilies to place on the tables with the mason jars and some champaign tulle to make my own pew bows!
I thought this event was such a great idea! The place that held the event is a reception venue, so it's a great way to market their venue to future brides. We seriously considered the Golden Leaf Center when searching for our reception venue. All of the proceeds from admission were also donated to charity. And of course, it's a great way to get rid of your wedding decorations instead of storing them in the attic or throwing them away in the dumpster. Now I know that my rustic decorations will fly off the table next year!
These are the goodies that I got at the garage sale!
Stay tuned for my pew bow creations!
