Dreaming of Mason Jars

Finally after months of crafting, I'm just about done with my last few mason jars! Here is three other creative ways to decorate mason jars!

1. Distressed Jars
You will just need spray paint, paper or cardboard, and nail files for this project!

Lay down some newspaper or cardboard in a well ventilated area.

Then, just go to town with your spray can.
You might want to wear some gloves because it can get messy.

Let the paint dry and then use a nail file to scratch off the paint in as many areas that you want on the jars, and then you're done!

2. Glitter Jars
What you'll need for this project is modge lodge, glitter, painter's tape, twine, paint brush, plastic bowl, cardboard box, aluminum foil and newspaper.

First off, line a cardboard box with aluminum foil and fill it with glitter.

Next, fill a plastic bowl with some modge podge.

Now take the painter's tape and wrap it around the middle portion of the jar. Then, use the paint brush to apply modge podge to the bottom part of the jar and roll the jar in glitter.

Once the glitter is dry, take off the painter's tape and tie some twine around the top of the jar.
What beautiful sparkly jars you'll have!

3. Burlap Filled Jars
All you need is scissors and burlap for this project. I decided to make these, because I had so much burlap ribbon left over!

Use scissors to chop off various sizes of burlap ribbon.

Then just stuff the jar with all of the burlap and close the lid.
Feel free to tie some ivory ribbon around the top!
