Bachelorette Party: Making it Work for Everybody

When you have friends from grade school up to college that all live in different places, it can be difficult to plan a bachelorette party. However, you just gotta think, think, think and you'll find a way to make it work. For me, half my friends live in Nebraska while the other half live in Illinois. To make things easier for everybody, I decided to have my bachelorette party half way in Des Moines, IA. You can also have two bachelorette parties and have one in one place and one in another. That's what my sister-in-law did.

I also have some friends who like to party all night long and some who just like to chill and hang out. That can sometimes cause problems if you don't find a way to meet in the middle. But this didn't stump my matron of honor and I. We came up with the perfect plan to please everybody!

I also decided to go with a 'help the bride pack her bag for her honeymoon' theme for gifts, so I was so excited when my matron of honor turned the hotel room into a tropical paradise! You can find other bachelorette party ideas in my post entitled 'Non Lingerie Themed Bachelorette Parties.'

We started out the evening with happy hour at our hotel, The Embassy Suites. I recommend this hotel chain to everybody! The rooms are large enough for a group of people and happy hour with free drinks and cocktails and a buffet breakfast in the morning are all included! After happy hour we took a shuttle over to a bar and grill where we played the whackiest scavenger hunt ever. It was quite hilarious! Then we ended the evening with gifts, cupcakes and hilarious games in our room.

It was a night to remember, and I was so glad I got to experience it with all of my friends!
